Tough call, there's so much to choose from!! One of my favourite holidays was a month long one in Thailand in 2008. This sunset in Chiang Rai was a few days from the end. Didn't miss the cold in NZ at all :-)

Get any casual caving done while you were there? :)

My best ever winter holiday was in the summer. One July I travelled to Thailand and stayed with a friend. It was summer there. It is always summer there. This is his house.

I hate winter. I hate being cold. I get cold easily. I wish it would always be summer.

I never win anything. Ever. So it doesn’t matter what I say.

Skiing at Ruapehu as a kid. There are probably photos somewhere but they're all pre-digital.

Our favourite winter holiday was recently in Ohakune where we met up with our son and family.  We were the 'chalet bitches'.  Our job was to have a hot meal ready for the adults and grandchildren when they returned from a day up the mountain.  During the day we did some great walks and went up the mountain ourselves.  Was a really great family catchup and we thoroughly enjoyed the time.

I’ve just had my favourite winter holiday - 3 weeks in the US enjoying summer. Soaked up all the sights, sounds and smells the West Coast has on offer.

Childhood memories. Depths of winter, in the snow, swimming in the hot stream on the way up to Ketetahi hut in Tongariro then running down to our packs to get dressed before getting too cold and going on up to the hut. Dont think the stream is there any more, hut certainly isnt.

My best winter holiday is being able to hibernate in my comfy bed with a good book - all warm and toasty without a care as to how cold and horrible the weather is outside!

And with room service - bliss.

p.s. But I won't be uploading a picture of me in bed - not today anyway.

It has to be Christmas holiday's in England having broken from school and building our own igloo in the back garden.  My attempt to sleep in it during the night was a disaster, as it was not only very cold, but it collapsed on me.
