Handsomedan:

I'm back...and this time it's (drum roll please)...people on public transport!

Why do people insist on rushing for the exit at the last stop in the CBD, by pushing past others who are ahead of them and swinging their luggage all over the place, hitting those still seated and anyone behind/beside them?

15sec is not going to change their lives so dramatically that they should become sub-human (in my humble opinion).

So much hurry to get *to* work...  :-/

My public transport annoyance is that the train platforms appear to be the only place where the last ones to arrive are the first on the train as people, I guess, politely stand at the back of the platform as they arrive and later arriving people gather in front of them until the train arrives.  Kind of a reverse queue.

This also happens on Auckland's Northern Busway at the stations.

Quite a weird NZ quirk that we don't like to immediately head to the front of the queue as we arrive, so others can stand behind us as they arrive...we would much rather stand politely in the background and be annoyed at those impertinent enough to head for the front on arrival.

Cafe or restaurant tables that rock, Drives me INSANE fix your friken tables properly.

Remember seeing a Dragon's Den episode from some years back where a guy wanted funding for a business to sell DIY table leg "proper-uppers", that you could take with you when dining to resolve that exact issue. He was unsuccessful and was pretty much laughed off by the DD team.

Fixing the symptoms, not the problem.

It's also entirely possible that it's not the tables, but an uneven floor.

Just use round tables on triangular supports and the problem is solved.

Old buildings = uneven floors.

In my experience, cafes and/or restaurants often set up their tables correctly at the beginning of service, and then those annoying customers just keep moving them around, without realising that will cause knock-on effects.

Huge shout-out to the lovely owners of Topor (in Plimmerton) who, when we needed to move the table to accommodate my mobility-impared Father-in-Law immediately rushed over and adjusted the feet to prevent any rocking; yes, they know their floor isn't level!

Having been sent out a new CC as my one was due to expire, changing everything, then getting a new one a week later in the mail, because they didnt realize they'd sent it, and invalidating the new old one, and then getting an email 3 weeks later that they are changing to Visa from Mastercard and I'll be getting a new card again. To top of this off I yet again couldn't use my Air NZ passes in the lounge due to over crowding.

Loud voices in cafes which make it hard for me to hear a podcast via earbuds. The cafe wasn't one of the ones which are always loud and people shout to be heard.

Car makers who leave out simple things we may find useful for NZ cars but include them in other markets.

In this case, Subaru. In the US there is a menu item in the settings which allows you to select or deselect whether the doors lock automatically when you set off.

In NZ cars...menu item missing...!

Not necessarily - it might rock on two if two are on level and one isn't and you happen to lean on the table opposite the single leg that isn't and it allows enough leverage.

Scientology annoys me.

Funny in the SuperBowl ad they didn't mention the following:

Xenu was the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy" who brought billions of his people to Earth (then known as "Teegeeack") in DC-8-like spacecraft 75 million years ago, stacked them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures hold that the thetans (immortal spirits) of these aliens adhere to humans, causing spiritual harm.

If I didn't know better, I'd say they were a cult, preying on lost sheeps, who using lawsuits to keep people quiet, and is only in it for the cash.

Saw a guy on an e-scooter today, absolutely pelting it downhill, and riding in the middle of the road. I'd say he would easily have been doing 40 km/h (all black scooter so not obviously Flamingo/Uber). The bulletproof young man's choice of personal safety equipment? An anti-coronavirus surgical mask, in a very stylish black. Not a helmet to be seen.

Less "really annoys" and more "shakes my head at the yoof of today" or "damn kids skateboarding on the sidewalks".

It's a religion. They all have fairly similar benefits and fairly similar downsides. If you changed the final bit to Islam or Catholicism you could use the same advertisement.

Some religions are more annoying than others. I remember in my youth admiring some Franciscans, Sikhs, Unitarians and Krishnas.

But any religion that proselytizes is annoying, including Mormons, Southern Baptists, Seventh Day Adventist and in general evangelicals.

I'm an atheist now.
