She is one of the crazy Americans that think the world was created in 7 days and that men have only been on earth for a few thousand years, and that earth is 10,000 years old.

Creationism is actually thought at schools in the US.

And you know she voted for Trump.

Here is a quote from the Youtube comments: She says that evolutionary theory is the dumbest thing she has heard, that's because she doesn't actually understand it. I forget who said it but the following quote sums it up. "People don't choose to believe in evolution, it's a proven fact that they either understand and accept or they fail to understand."

"The difference between a cult and a religion is that the latter is old. Like, stepping into a pile of dog poo makes you curse, but stepping into a pile of dinosaur poo makes you famous. Despite both being crap."

But my all time favorite, which I read years ago: Religion is a social construct, made by man for man to explain faith, therefore fallible. But faith is immutable and incorruptible.

Teach the children not just one idea but all the ideas so they can decide for themselves.

Live and let live but don't force it on others.

Lie Witness News

Americans always have opinions on current events, even if they didn't happen

Trivia: Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States, and died in 174 years ago.

The problem is the evolutionists, following Darwinian evolution, are equally unbelievable. And it is taught in schools as a fact, not a theory.

There is a biologist / scientist Brian Cox coming to talk in chch in June. i am looking forward to seeing him as he states he doesn't know if there is a god but he has a sense of awe at the wonders of the universe.

Good find... However you've fallen for the "theory of evolution" argument. There's also the "theory of gravity"

https://apus.libanswers.com/writing/faq/189986

In casual, non-scientific conversation the words hypothesis and theory are often used to mean the same thing: an idea, or notion, or hunch about something. In reality, they are quite different. A hypothesis is an educated guess or prediction about the relationship between two variables.

A theory is a well-established, tested explanation that provides a unified description of some aspect of the natural world. A theory is based on substantiated data, repeated testing, and the consensus of a wide group of scientists/researchers

I think he would hate to be called a biologist. Biology is far too messy for physicists.
