Miracast. Great idea. Joke implementation.

Compared to Chromecast (which I find so so for reliability but normally works after a couple of tries) and and airplay (which I find 100% reliable) it’s just a joke

I find the opposite, chromecast is a total unreliable joke with the phone disconnecting from the device and the device keeping on playing for a while before something times out. Youtube seems to reliably reconnect to the phone but spotify and netflix just lose the connection and when I go back to the phone I have to restart it on there and reconnect to the chromecast. However the picture quality on the miracast is awefully overcompressed.

Whenever I use Chromecast, I know it has to be at a certain phase of the moon, neighbourhood goats and chickens are feeling pretty anxious, I have to stand on one foot, and recite the national anthem backwards in German, to have any chance.

Lol. For me some of the time it works everytime.

Miracast all of the time works none of the time.

Airplay just works.

Be happy one of the few features I've implemented that doesn't exclude mods/admins is the two quote limit...

Just as well I hardly ever watch live TV; I will miss "The Chase", in theory.  In practice, I'll probably just stream it from onDemand...

The complete mangling of the English language from people who should know better. From today’s Herald we have

Chaffing at the bit

Naval gazing

One is throwing the by product of grain threshing at a horse’s bit and the other is standing on the cliff watching ships.

I saw something about a 'kingdon' earlier. The leader of the royal mafia, presumably.

Our laundry washing machine has decided to start making a load noise during the spin cycles. My guess it's a bearing on its way out. I guess we will have to replace it. Hoping it will last to the end of lockdown so we can get one installed. I am I zero position to even try.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

There are bound to be issues like this. Are there no official provisions for such cases?

It hasn't just walked its way over to the tub and is knocking against it?

I thought of that but there is a clear space all round and it has the dryer sitting on top so it's never moved.

My wife climbed in, well almost and checked if anything is caught between the barrei and seal but there is nothing obvious.
