Not sure if I have already put this one, but spotifys misuse of the word "compilation" instead of anthology really annoys me, And then they go and have an "appears on" section which should be called compilations.

These guys are from Sweden, what do you expect? </Scandinavian/Norwegian joke>

We live on Auckland's North Shore. Every day for the past week MetService have been touting thundery weather. I love a good thunderstorm, me. Haven't seen one flash yet nor heard one clap. Disappointing.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Reminds me of John Cleese's "Swedish Fun Week" sketch!

Last week Thursday (or could have been early weekend) we had an awesome thunder n lightning storm - around Waiwera. Real close lightning and whip-lash cracks o thunder !

Was working away in my steel container workshop - was kinda wondering if that was really  the safest place to be ,,,

A couple less minor since, but enough to bother the cat  ...

A bit like working in a giant microwave. ZAP! Or maybe a Faraday Cage?

Hooray for geoblocking stupidity. I picked up a US Blu-ray set of Game of Thrones, and it has a code for a downloadable copy. According to the card, you're supposed to enter the code onto HBO's site... but the site proclaims that it's not available here and doesn't allow the code to be entered.

That's the geoblocking. Now for the stupidity. The same code can be entered directly into iTunes and works fine! The episodes are downloading now.

When you're browsing the web on a phone and the page continues to load bits for some seconds after the majority of the page content, so that as your thumb hits the part of the screen where button X is, the content jumps as something loads elsewhere on the page and you hit button Y which just moved down....THAT is infuriating, especially on newspaper websites where it means you end up reading the wrong story!

US, but my point was around having a geoblock page that is completely avoidable. iTunes US itself is not geoblocked per se as it'll let you create a US account when you redeem the code.

Tried to find that. Found this instead, created a few chuckles and I know most of the places (and quite a few of the people) in the video :D Was new to me though.

It's rare. I saw him live and he played it. Very funny.

That's... helpful!

On the topic of movies (assuming that that's what it's from), movies that were presented at 2.39:1 theatrically but are at 1.78:1 for their home releases. I'm setting up a home theatre and I have a 2.39:1 screen, so I don't want pillarboxes! Some are easily salvageable (Interstellar) but others are a nightmare (Avatar, I'm looking at you!)

I've no idea what any of that means, but I agree it certainly does not sound Okay...!

On the plus side, Avatar is an awful movie so no need to watch..!
