Today in the Website Hall of Shame: https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/inflation-calculator

Try out the first field (the one with 10 pounds prefilled). Note that you can't press Ctrl-A to select all, and you can't even use the Delete key!

This is sloppy , but, common.  My pet peeve is phone number fields. Tons of sites consider a phone number to be invalid if you have a space in them, even if the space is after the last digit.

Companies that launch a product and completely abandon it even though it's the current flagship model for an entire's country DVR user-base.

No updates, no fixing of faults, nothing. Looking at Dish TV and their A2 Freeview recorder.

Sofa cushions.

What is it about a sofa with no cushions that offends women.

Both my mother and partner insist on pulling at least 3or4 cushions on every sofa.

So where am I supposed to sit ? When I sit down on lay on sofa where are the cushions supposed to go.

NOT on the floor apparently..

Cushions have recently been deemed too old and have been replaced with new ones but the old ones remain...

Is it a sofa or a cushion display shelf?

For the sake of household harmony, I vote for the "cushion display shelf".

I have less of an issue with sofa cushions as I do decorative bed pillows. My ex had maybe a dozen on our bed. And they'd all go on the floor at night. Which as someone who is short sighted I was always tumbling on them when I got up early in the dark. At least the landing was soft.

I just don't see the point. At night I just want to get into bed, not remove and stack things.

Windows 10 startup on new machines. It prompts for a country so I change it from Aussie to NZ. Keyboard suggestion is US international from memory but with this keyboard the shortcuts under right click are gone eg right click P for properties so this gets changed to US. Then when signed in with a user the time zone is still set to Aussie despite setting the location to NZ earlier.

At least now the annoying Cortana voice is gone.

So SO this. And many other new annoyances with Windows 10. Honestly, it's like they develop this in a lab with no-one who has ever used Windows. The number of things which take longer than they ever did before is horrible.

Not something that annoys me, rather something that makes me sad is learning that Kiwi musician Aaron Tokona died of a heart attack a few days ago. I have his Ahoribuzz album, which is bloody great. But this news is bloody sad 😞

It annoys me that there wasn't a bigger platform given to him.

Weta were epic in their day and he was immensely talented!

Selling things second hand with a marked final price.

So many time wasters offering half the original price.

People who find it amusing to demean others based on their jobs.

Calling someone doing their job a salesdroid is just being an a-hole.
