People who find it amusing to demean others based on their jobs.

Calling someone doing their job a salesdroid is just being an a-hole.

Rather than criticising individuals, isn't that intended as a criticism of management systems - particularly in retail - where all ability to negotiate, make decisions, and "be human" has been fully removed, and conversation with customer-bots scripted and forced? All chain-store retail has been (to the greater part) "McDonaldised" - they don't care if you have a nice day (jeesh - they're selling you as much unhealthy food as they can - because that's what they do - they just asked if you wanted to be "upsized" when they should have been able to see on the CCTV in the drive-through that your car was leaning 30 degrees on the driver's side).

I agree with @Fred99 on this one. Many sales people are pleasant and helpful, but many are also droids, maybe through no fault of their own but that is still how they come across.

I would hate to have to earn a living as a telesales person. That must be a miserable job. I sometimes get calls from people who are clearly out of their depth and I don't give them a hard time. With the pushy ones I am less polite. Some jobs are tough, but the people doing them also have some responsibility for the way they present themselves. In other words, some people are sales people, others are salesdroids.

the word "could" as used in the Covid 19 outbreak. i dont think there has been one statement that has come true after the word could has been used.

That's normal for media - they write "This could be the next [some product or another] model" - clickbait. "This could be the next top tourism destination" - clickbait.

Anytime you see "could" consider it a clickbait.

I don't think technical people get entirely off the hook by blaming users for being thickos.

Our aim at work should be to make a product so well that even thickos can use it without breaking it.

Unless you're talking about real thickos , in which case, I totally agree.

It really amazes me that more apps aren't self healing or self diagnosing. We have worked with a couple of apps recently, that on startup run a dozen checks and if it won't run, either repairs the issue itself, or reports specifically what part of the checklist failed and a list of things to additionally check.

FrankV's extension to Betteridge's Law: Replace "could" with "probably won't" in any headline.

The majority of people who use the term also tend to use it in a way that is intended to demean the person. It often involves taunting or mocking a generic sales person. I don't have any issue with someone complaining about a specific salesperson being useless.

Basically they are a-holes trying to make themselves feel superior to others.

Companies who name their PRODUCT the same thing as their Company Name.

Companies who name their products so generically, that a google search struggles to return meaningful results because the search is common terms. Worse when that product is named after the year it was released.
