Calling someone doing their job a salesdroid is just being an a-hole.
Rather than criticising individuals, isn't that intended as a criticism of management systems - particularly in retail - where all ability to negotiate, make decisions, and "be human" has been fully removed, and conversation with customer-bots scripted and forced? All chain-store retail has been (to the greater part) "McDonaldised" - they don't care if you have a nice day (jeesh - they're selling you as much unhealthy food as they can - because that's what they do - they just asked if you wanted to be "upsized" when they should have been able to see on the CCTV in the drive-through that your car was leaning 30 degrees on the driver's side).
