Definitely a small annoying thing: the "demolition" sale prices on these tablets at Harvey Norman

When we mentioned to the sales droid that $5 off a $700 tablet isn't really much of a demolition, he said yeah well, Samsung tell them the prices they are allowed to have, and they have to suck it up and deal with it if they want to keep selling Samsung.

So we went to Noel Leeming and bought the  Galaxy Tab A 8.0 for $359 (and got Flybuys).

Idiots (obviously excluding myself) who grind around town at 30km/h with about 20 (well 5) cars queued up behind them - they are either a) geriatric and can't see over the steering wheel / look in the rear view mirror or b) farmers who are so used to bouncing round the fields at 30 they can't cope with anything higher.

And why when you're reversing out of a parking spot do people insist on walking behind you, as slowly as possible, do they enjoy watching you trying to screw your head off. And of course the drivers who see you reversing, usually when your parked next to a bus with blacked out / mirrored windows you can't see though, who just have to carry on as you slowly appear.

Same for those that do 70 in the right lane of the motorway because it happens to be raining. GTFO of my way!

I maybe wrong but have HN admitted that Samsung are price fixing?

On this note, people who thinks road rules completely disappear once they get into a supermarket car park - including not following the big white arrows painted on the paths.

Guilty, but only when I can clearly see my action won't impede or confuse another driver.

Guilty.

Two places I do this.

1) Queensgate cinema parking. Why make me drive round 6 long rows of cars to get to the movie entrance especially when there are vacant parks right by the door and its raining (top car park isnt covered).

2) Pak & Save Upper Hutt. Again why make me circle the parking lot when there are vacant parks right by the door.

whilst we are discussing car parks , three things that bug me...

1. Drivers who believe that the speed in a car park should be the same as the open road.

2. Drivers that cannot wait a few seconds while one backs out of a car park.

3. People using mobility parks that are not entitled to do so.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

And the opposite: Drivers that start backing out at high speed without looking for cars!

Meanwhile, yesterday in the drive-through, the person in front paid, got their receipt, and proceeded to toss it straight out the window.

I was stuck behind a 4 seperate orders car recently. And none of them had paywave it seemed so they were all passing the eftpos pin pad in and out to the person. Took longer than 4 seperate cars would I recon because they were at the speaker forever. Need to do what resturants do with one bill per table but do it one order per car.

I have some of this happening on Twitter and Facebook. And even if I rotate they still upload wrong.

Because some broken image rotation tools do not change the orientation in the exif data when they rotate it, and some broken websites ignore it. You get various results depending on if the camera records a rotated image, or just writes it out in the same orientation and just sticks the exif data to show what way it should be displayed.

And then proceed to change their order because one of the other passengers has ordered something that they now want, and the cashier has to then futz around changing the order, and the kitchen gets out of whack in the processing queue.

All drive-thru orders are final. No further correspondence will be entered into.
