Finding Starbucks Sumatran for my Nespresso.

Not 'compatible' dodgy third party capsules, but actual real Nespresso manufactured, Starbucks branded ones. For $7.50 a sleeve.

Staying in Sydney near CBD, and our apartment came with a pet. A ringtail possum has made a nest in a corner behind a potplant on the balcony, she's got a joey in her pouch. She snoozes most of the day, but quite happy to wake up to take small pieces of fruit out of your hand. They're much smaller and more timid than brush tail possums. Not a great picture sorry, a bit hard to get a cellphone around the side of the pot.

Ignoring completely that US commercial 'Haloween' and knowing the real 'Samhain' background instead.

That some pilots drew a plane with a plane

New Zealanders, on average, have one testicle.

Are these the eight most beautiful words in the English language?

[Edit: Removed pic after realising it had my valuation number - and therefore address - in it, but it was a rates bill with "your account is in credit - no payment required"]

Has anyone else had the absolute joy of phoning Nintendo Aus/NZ?

Super helpful person at the end of the phone, but the pièce de résistance was the hold music - famous game soundtracks. I had 8 bit Super Mario and one of the Zeldas while I was waiting for my (super unusual) query to be looked up. Made the entire thing an absolute delight.

At Big Boys Toys they had the new switch on big screens, I was pretty impressed, though I can't really justify yet another console on top of my X1, PS4, gaming PC and Phone!

Helping a retired teacher friend who is Exam Centre Manager at a local North Shore high school running NCEA and Schol exams - mainly supervising the exams that have a slight tech component like audio files listening/recording - and/or computer use.

First exams today - signed into the school’s Guest WiFi - and saw this:

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
