MikeB4: 2. Drivers that cannot wait a few seconds while one backs out of a car park.

And the opposite: Drivers that start backing out at high speed without looking for cars!

Meanwhile, yesterday in the drive-through, the person in front paid, got their receipt, and proceeded to toss it straight out the window.

Agreed.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I may have complained about this before but:

On the ferry from West Harbour, there are usually 2 rows of seats, with 4-5 seats per row.

Without fail people will sit in the aisle seat, blocking the remaining 3-4 seats. The ferries usually get pretty full, meaning they have to get up at least once, if not 2-3 times to let people past.

Bonus points if they sigh/huff when you ask them to move.

Diagram below, x = person, o = empty seat.

| o o o o x | aisle | x o o o o |

Buses too.

Let out a "sneaky" as you squeeze past. Double bonus if you've had a curry the night before ...

Or "accidentally" knock them with your bag, lunchbox, or backpack.

Unfortunately I would have to take the aisle seat.

That's... helpful!

On the topic of movies (assuming that that's what it's from), movies that were presented at 2.39:1 theatrically but are at 1.78:1 for their home releases. I'm setting up a home theatre and I have a 2.39:1 screen, so I don't want pillarboxes! Some are easily salvageable (Interstellar) but others are a nightmare (Avatar, I'm looking at you!)

On the plus side, Avatar is an awful movie so no need to watch..!

I enjoyed avatar.   Sure, it has gaping great plot holes and tries to preach that hippy tree huggers are better than marines ... but ignore all that and it is an entertaining david vs goliath storyline with ground breaking special fx for the time.

As for something small that annoys me --- people who do not indicate that they want your car park....  eg, yesterday i was about to reverse out of a park and a car was coming and stopped --- i wasn't sure if they were going to continue or wanted my park so I wait.... so , they flash their lights and start waving their arms around that i can go... surely it would be clearer and faster to simply use their indicator?

Would have been way better if they'd just blown away the hippies.

I can't believe he's inflicting more of it on us.

Charge only USB cables.  Especially so companies who do not label them as such.

Why on earth? How much cash do they save?

Quite a bit since the cable for a USB cable that actually works is not that cheap compared to a simple piece of 2 core non twisted, plus they can fit more copper in for a given diameter so you get less voltage drop. Was about 16c vs 40c when I was looking at the costs of getting some cables in the 100s so I expect that in the 10000s it would be even more.

Plus, any data cables that are faulty can be sold as charging cables.

Power only yes, but a charging one that will charge a phone is usually going to have the data pins at the micro USB end shorted so the phone knows its a charger.

Was looking at some cables to bundle with something that was powered by USB and had no need to charge, but did need about 1.4 amps so needed thick power wires. I was amazed that if you are happy to have muck metal and crap plugs you can get a 30cm cable made for under 10c.

I learn something new every day. I did not know that there were two kinds of USB cable!

New World has changed the self service lanes so that the bags can only go Vertically now. Meaning it takes longer to bag stuff and more awkward because there is less room.

I suspect it's to stop people from bringing 100 items to the self service lane, but when you need a couple of bags, it's very awkward and annoying.

Drivers on the motorway that won't let you in at the end of the on ramp merge, even though the right hand lane is clear.

Last week I had one that actually accelerated and I couldn't merge, so I had to slow down to let him go ahead and a few meters later he changed lanes.

Irritating, but it did save that driver 0.003 of  a second, that is vital to them
