I wouldn't be replacing anything of mine. I don't use cellphones (except for an old one I use only to take photos with). If I should happen to win, I'd gift the phone to my loving partner who is always there for me. smile

She's got a Samsung S5 I think it's called? Not 100% sure.

edit, pic of partner's current phone:

Well I have a 4? year old Nexus 5 that has lasted me well with a pure Android experience. However when I started getting battery time issues I investigated a replacement battery. While this was happening a problem surfaced with the microphone so I could only use speakerphone or a headset. Weird.

Found a possible fix so applied that when replacing the battery. The fix didn't work for me and the replacement battery only lasted the same time as the original, so probably linked to apps running etc etc.

On top of this I get no updates anymore, been this way for a while so have been looking at options available and dismayed at the reports coming out about the current Nexus replacements, Pixel and Pixel 2.

So I would absolutely LOVE a replacement pure Android phone, especially a free one! Thank you in advance Mr and Mrs SPARK, and Geekzone!

Sorry about the picture. With only one camera (on the Nexus) I had to use a mirror.

I’m not replacing a phone per se, more gaining a personal phone so my work phone can be used for just that.

The Nokia’s seem like a nice bit of kit for their price point.

I'll be replacing a Redmi Note 3. It's a bit slow sometimes and I could do with something a bit faster.

As my son hasn't joined geekzone yet; if I win on his behalf, it would replace his old iPhone.  It's not quite this old, but it's getting close...

I'd like to replace my 2013 Moto G, I'm grateful that it continues to receive LineageOS updates and would miss the form factor but would love to have a more responsive device.

Im looking to replace my Z5 as the battery is getting long in the tooth and the fingerprint sensor doesnt recognize its master as well as it should.
Security updates are a thing of distant memory, so time to say good bye....
It only seems like 2011 when I threatened to blend my old Nokia for an upgrade with Geekzone :p

Oof -- there's plenty of people here who definitely need a new phone here. Far more than I, but I guess you can't get anywhere if you don't try. I'm looking to get this for my mum, whose currently stuck swapping between two SIM cards on her iPhone for work reasons.

My Nexus 5X has already died once so it would be nice to upgrade to something more reliable.

My Father is running a rather old Nokia Lumia Windows phone which is really starting to show its age and its probably time to move him onto something Android, one of these would be a good way to move him onto something modern.

My mother wants a new phone, she has been bugging me about a s7 edge refub from 1-day (ewwww).  One of these would be good and save me a few hundred.

Image result for pigeon post

It's about time poor old Charlie retired. He used to be blue, but has has got so old that most of his feathers have gone grey, much like my hair.

I think it's about time I got one of those newfangled mobile telephone phone things that all the younguns seem to have stuck to their thumbs.

Charlie isn't too keen to go in my coat pocket, but one of those shiny Nokia's would fit in nicely.

Probably work as a dash cam on my mobility scooter too!

I would love to replace my Nexus 6P with a Nokia. It's the first Nexus phone I've had after a series of Samsung Galaxies (S2 and S5) and has been great, but I've had the dreaded bootloop issue recently fixed, and am now suffering the awful battery issue.

I've been debating on whether I should get just another Android phone or to bring this back to get it fixed - I think I'm just outside warranty - so it would be amazing to get one of the Nokia's as replacement.

Would need to go back to the 'light' and maybe in time for some P/ancake/opsicle/ecan pie/{insert dessert here}  :-)
