Perhaps it might suggest one is outside the target demographic or one may be showing ones age by not understanding the new stories.

If fans of previous seasons are not liking it, then they are doing something wrong.

I understand the new stories perfectly well, in fact it would be hard not too when they are telling you exactly what you should be thinking.

I'd have to disagree with that. Perhaps you would like to clearly state the moral of episode six's story?

Demons of the Punjab...

Ok, well, uh.  I guess a nice job of quickly introducing partition to youngins and showing in a very brief and sanitised way how it tore a country and it's people in two, but... wow, yeah, what was the point of the demons, just because "doctor who so must have aliens, even if they don't do anything to affect anything".

This is a common device in Dr Who. Aliens are thought to be evil, and then later on we discover they are not evil.

Maybe, but in this case you could have edited out all of the alien stuff and the story would be unaffected.

To me it was clearly about the need for tolerance and understanding. Numerous parallels with the modern world can be drawn from this, but the obvious one to me is the increasingly nationalist political trends we are seeing in America and some of Europe.

Aside from the Rosa Parks episode, I thought this was the most blatant one.

Understand, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the lessons they are trying to convey - it's the obvious and ham-fisted way they are doing it.

So far my favorite is #5 by a long way. All the classic SciFi elements are in that one.

I cant tell if your being sarcastic or that was a mistake but just in case they are filming in early 2019 for early 2020. So far the only episode for 2019 is the New Years Day special.

it took me a while to find the BBC post - always better to go to the source. It just looks like it has been delayed a few months - it was I think scheduled for the end of 2019.

Jo Martin?

As many as they want. Artistic licence, etc.
