if i know it is going to be NZ couriers i would avoid them ,

Note this thread is principally about NZ Post Courier (prev known as CourierPost), not NZ Couriers (a Freightways company)

while the title started off that way its about all couriers now

Is it just me, or does NZ Post's tracking site no longer 'hold' numbers for a fortnight? It seems that I need to look for the numbers again if I want to re-track something.

Not sure it's Courier Post but a friend mailed me a package (birthday present :-) ) from San Francisco on 4 Sept and it still has not arrived. NZ Post said the query has to originate in the US as that where it was sent.

It might have got to NZ and then lost in the Courier Post network but i have no idea how to find that out.

It does seem that way if not logged in. And if you remove them and then log in it will add them to the ones you are tracking, as well as bring back other parcels that you had deleted the tracking details of.

Easy way to find out is check the tracking number and pop it in NZ Post's website to see if there is any record. But sounds like your friend didn't use a tracked service somehow?

The PBT debacle continues. The tracking now says that my package was "signed as received" and was sent to Tauranga. I'm not in Tauranga and have not received it.

Currently waiting on a parcel via Aramex!

Left Auckland on Tuesday for Christchurch.

Aramex (THEMSELVES!) Stated Expected Delivery YESTERDAY!

1110hrs Site shows the dreaded Triangle with an "!". Your parcel is delayed! Not even showing it has reached the Christchurch Depot!

Yet.....

1115hrs It now shows as Onboard With Courier - Delivery Due Today!

Sheesh - how hard is it to do your job correctly? Unless "continually awful service" is your job? In which case you excel!

Will it actually arrive today? (Considering our normal Aramex delivery is around 0650hrs!)

Well, it turned up approximately 18 hours after the listed "signed as received" timestamp!

The drivers do that so they are closer to hitting their targets. Really annoying for retailers that email out when tracking says that something is delivered and to please review it if its not there yet.

You can bitch all you want but as you are not the customer they wont listen. You can complain to the seller of the stuff and they wont care because you will still buy stuff as you have no choice.

Had a parcel from Wellington to Auckland “arrived ” never got the usual parcel out for delivery text from nz post nz post claimed it was out for delivery on Tuesday and dropped around 3pm since my parcel was not yet here i checked last night with the shipper and they were surprised that it didn’t arrive at my place and I was then told check the house and if it not there lodge complaint with the courier. I did it and then they as the sender as a business sent in a complaint to get the gps location of drop of. And to see if they can get my missing parcel delivered to me . If it all fails my parcel can’t be replaced as it was a one off item so they have to claim a refund from nz post.

Yeah, its really fun when a customer calls after 2 weeks to ask where their stuff is and it takes a few days for NZ post to email back a photo of someone elses front door claiming that the parcel in the photo is your one, but you cant tell because its a low res screenshot and all a5 courier bags look the same from the back with another one covering where the address would be.

Ordered something from the US. According to FedEx it was shipped to NZ on 11 October and arrived in NZ 23 October. According to NZ Post the status was shipped on 11 October and nothing else. It was delivered today and NZPost tracking still says it's on the way to NZ...
