People who use the phrase "first world problem".

Ones that rile me are the word 'amazeballs', and the phrase 'reach out' when someone means get in contact with. I have a work-related question, I don't need a social worker.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
I cannot abide "onboarding".
There is no verb "to onboard" 🤬
I onboard
You onboard
We onboard
They onboard
No. No and thrice No.
Onboard is a state of being - as in "onboard the ship" - not an action. Just stop your nonsense.

I know, English is in the hands of the next generation. Unfortunately, I think they're going to treat it like the gearbox in mums car and trash it :-)
I've trained my kids not to say 'my team was versing the other'. But I hear other kids, those poor souls without a pedant for a pop, say things like 'we plussed this number and this number'.
It's so annoying.
Most of the posters in this thread are just like chimpanzees on MDMA, full of feelings of bonhomie, joy, and optimism. Fred99 8/4/21

I blame the parents. My mother would give me a clip round the ear for saying things like that!

Linux distributions are using that errr”phrase” for their start up and tour etc and I confess it irritates me.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
Set up of an Arlo Pro 2 three camera kit. It shouldn't be this hard. The cameras simply won't add.

My units set up in a flash but adding it to HomeKit just will not happen

Paper clip ? Crocodile clip ?

That’s illegal now - and that in itself may be part of the problem.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
MadEngineer:1.5 hours later and it looks like it's finally working. Their online chat support had me remove the base from my account, re-add it, then attempt to sync the first camera with the base unplugged from the network. It didn't look like that did anything as the base had an amber flashing light indicating no network but the camera was added after the base was reconnected and power cycled.

The other cameras then added no problem.
All this through their website rather than through the app
*shrug*

Couldn’t agree more but not even sure ‘onboard the ship’ is correct - isn’t it ‘on board the ship’?
Edit: Found this which vindicates my suspicion:
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
And those Covid posters that say to 'sign-in' instead of 'sign in'.
I am not sure whether this annoys me or concerns me - or both.
I went to download the new Mac OS, Big Sur, and got a dialogue box that said "Are you sure you want to download Big Sur?"
WTH?! Do you mean "..because it's big and time consuming" or "..because it might fry your computer"?!!!

”Onboarding” is a noun (e.g. ‘I have completed my onboarding’), and “onboard” is an adjective (e.g. ‘this ship has an onboard casino’). These terms are very widely used. Get with the times.
