Well good news. Blackie amazingly has bounced back from the brink of death. We really thought his time was up.

However, on Thursday he had perked up a lot and we brought him home. He's unsteady on his feet ok, paws, but he's miles better.

I think that he may have injested some kind of poison last Sunday.

My sister's dog got into a box of "slug slam" last week. Vet is amazed he survived, and put it down to the fact he was a big solid animal. Miserable week for her and the dog, but nearly back to normal.

We have one dog in our pack who loves getting groomed, just not by us! The others we can wash and groom at home, but he demands professional grooming and absolutely loves it. He also happens to have the biggest heaviest coat by far. Here he is after a trim:
