LOL, yeah it happens...  I prefer using squid over pilchards,

Squid 4tw. Especially when fishing with children. :-)

You don't need squid when fishing with children, children stay on the hook pretty well by themselves :)

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Yep, squid and pilchards are good.... but next time, try a whole bonito head. A 5.6Kg snapper can't be wrong.

CSB -- my wife was out with the kids, and one of them did something trivially annoying, and she said 'If you don't stop doing that, I'll have to cut your legs off.' The kids started giggling, but then a stranger, who was walking in front with his own kids, turns around and says 'Oh, you really can't do that to your children, you know.'

Wife looks sort-of-suspiciously at the interloper, about to work up into a 'they're my kids so butt out etc.' when he grins and adds 'You have to cut out their voice boxes first, otherwise they scream.'

And then the kids look horrified. :-)

I thought of creating this feature on Geekzone but some people couldn't get their heads around the idea...

Oh Usenet, how we do miss you. A kill filter might be nice, but is it really necessary?

BTW: *plink* was the sound of the "lightweighters" hitting the kill filters, if my memory doesn't deceive me.

That was "plonk". Just read that thread and you will see most of the people thought "plonk" was offensive. Something a user does in private, no one else knows who is being blocked, and some people got all offended...

Go figure.

ya I didn't bother even following that whole thread.

I like the idea of a plonk list.  I've used them on usenet to plonk people and I know some have plonked me...

I have no issues with people plonking me and being happier with the list, and those who I plonk shouldn't take offence, they should just accept that while other readers are interested in what they have to say and engage them, I wasn't one of those.
