Big Shout and Thanks to Lynda and the Team at Bay Window Tinting Tauranga who replaced my kitchen windows MEP Window film after only being on for 5½ years due to deterioration. FREE. This film has a manufactures life time warrantee and is made in the USA not Asia.

The job was carried out quickly and efficiently with all debris and moisture cleaned up. All done with a smile.

Well done 👍

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

It's not often that people say positive things about Vodafone, but I was really impressed with how they handled my change of address.

Their web site clearly describes the process so I notified them two weeks in advance as required and a couple of days later I got a call from a really helpful guy who made all the arrangements. On the day of the move my connection cut over seamlessly - all I had to do was plug in the router.

I honestly thought it was going to be a lot more difficult than that.

Great to hear, but have you got your bill yet?

Seems Vodafone customers are sometimes driven away by invoicing snafus, if my father's experience is anything to go by.

Lol! Good question!

I actually received a bill last week which appears to cover a time period spanning my old and new addresses, and it was absolutely correct. So, I think I'm probably in the clear!

Another one for PB Tech.

Bought a computer via click and collect.  Picked it up on Saturday.  Got a phone call from them today saying that they had found a stray RAM chip left over that should have gone into my new computer. Sure enough 16GB installed instead of 32GB.

I was given the option of bringing it in to Penrose shop so the techs could install the memory while I waited.  I asked instead if I could pick up an equivalent stick from a closer store and install it myself.  Couple of checks and a text message later it was ready to pick up.

Kudos to PB Tech for reaching out about the problem and rectifying it before I realised, plus being flexible enough to cater to my requests.

I ordered a new iPhone from Spark Tuesday afternoon and it arrived Thursday morning. In these trying times with COVID. 19 this is impressive service. Kudos to Spark.

Edit, that's Auckland to Hutt City

To the fantastic person driving past who saw I was struggling with my chair that had a flat tyre. They stopped, turned around and drove back to help. They put myself and my chair in their car and took me home. Thank you so much for your wonderful act of kindness.

Thank you for sharing that. It balances out all the negative/selfish/self-serving stuff.

Vodafone gets a lot of flack here and usually for good reason, but I wanted to share that due to my kids taking lots of videos on holidays set to auto upload to the cloud I blew through my data 9 days before the end of my plan and was slowed down. Called VF asking about resetting my plan for a charge and they added 100GB to last me the remainder of my plan at no cost. Total call time was 5 minutes and got someone with good understandable communication and was sorted. Can't ask for better than that!

@jasonparis something to go into your good feedback bucket.

We have a paper shredder at home we use to shred any mail with our names on it, hardly gets used as we dont get much mail these days.. however its only 24 months old and one of the cutters failed..

so I phoned Fellowes and said hey.. can you help me out.. its probably shredded 40-50 pieces of a4 in its life time and its already dead.

Nup.. we only provide a 12 month warranty on that model and its an uneconomical repair so you have to buy a new one..

but this cost me close to $300 and has barely had any use..

sorry nothing we can do to help..

cool.. I wont be getting another fellowes then!

Tried my luck with PB lodging a service request via my old order online

They emailed me the same day asking for me detail so in my reply I told them my experience with fellowes over the phone and how little use it had

They replied back 15 minutes later saying the are going to ship me a brand new unit and to drop my old faulty one off to my local PB branch with the attached RMA form

Incredible service PB.. this is why I keep coming back to you!

If you aren't aware Fellowes would have been required to resolve that by law under the consumer guarantees act. Good that pbtech sorted you though, kudos to them. I'd call Fellowes back and ask to speak to a manager and read them the riot act.

Are you sure? Isn't the CGA between the buyer and the retailer, rather than the buyer and the manufacturer?

1000% sure. Your choice if you raise it with the retailer or manufacturer. I'd usually try retailer first but either must sort you.
Retailer resolution does not require manufacturer though lots try and fob people off so they don't have to deal with it.

To my dachshound who quickly found a lost wounded wild boar in rainy weather when I got the call from this strange guy not before the next day. He claimed yesterday to have missed it but he didn‘t with such a lousy shot.
