k1w1k1d:

Not about the headline, but do the Stuff reporters actually proof read what they write below the headline?

No. Almost every article has a basic error in it. They even seem to have the ability to introduce errors into articles attributed to other news organisations i.e. copy and paste.

Behodar:

"The British government yesterday expanded drone-free exclusion zones around British airports from their previous 1km limit, to about 5km."

I haven't looked for the actual law, but I suspect that it's more specific than "about 5km"...

Stuff is correct. It's about 5km.

4.828km exactly. UK changed it to 3 miles. Don't ask me why. Metric brexit? ; ).

Why Thais let Saudi teen stay video

ANALYSIS: When she landed on the run, she became a prisoner. Then Thailand changed it's stance.

Unless the farmer is actually imprisoning the tourists in the sinkhole, to have their own private hoard of tourists if there is a future tourist shortage? (In which case someone should call the Police!)

This sounds like a self-driving car taking revenge on its owner:

Couple scramble onto roof after car drives into water and sinks at Northcote Point

Two people scrambled on to the roof of their car after it accidentally drove into the sea and sank near Auckland Harbour Bridge

Headline in NZH today: “Unintentional off-roading disaster in Kaikōura”.

So sometimes off-roading disasters are intentional?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Yes - and no-one was hurt, let alone killed - but it’s still a ‘disaster’.

This... Not only the "journalist" wrote "cubical" (then later in the article he correctly wrote "cubicle") but also the article is dated 13 January 2019 but the events took place "April 25 this year" - back to the future much?

No doubt a minor typo, by the headline left me scratching my head at first.

No - that's quite correct - the Mayor's wife is a boat hull. And she's being converted into a luxury Air BNB

Windows 7 enters its final year of free support. The headline is fine, but the first thing in the article is a large photo of a Windows hologram with the caption "Licensing and support lifecycles are not really the easiest topics to illustrate". Yet they attempt to do so anyway. Why?!

FUD. Win7 will continue to run next year. How much actual MS support did you use last year? Yawn. Who cares. Nothing to see here.

"Now let's cross to Fred Hairdo over at Ubuntu..."

"Free upgrades twice a year if you want them, free patches every week, ..."

Adam Lyness, who worked as Cryptopia business development manager until November, said he did not have any information other than what was in the public domain.

Or, to put it another way:

"We interviewed someone that doesn't work for the company, and he wasn't able to tell us anything."

Well that's better than Newshub who does not have the article on its webpage, you need to go to other news. And its article hardly said anything, at least Stuff got a bit deeper.
