Oh, also watched The Artist last week. Pretty good, we gave it 8/10... It's even on the Top 250 on IMDB.

Just watched Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter at a mystery movie event put on by the Flicks website. After a few technical difficulties delaying the start the movie itself was not too bad in the grand scheme of what sort of movie it is.

The one thing I noted afterwards that for such a movie with such a title it surprisingly didn't really have very much humour which you would naturally assume a movie with that sort of title was.

Based on this I give it a solid 7 outta 10 or 8 if you're seeing it solely based on it's title. No Oscar winning performances but overall good and worth checking out if Vampires are your thing.

Im more of a TV series person myself, I feel that there is just more of a storyline to a TV series rather than a movie.

Dont get me wrong I love watching 2 hours of nail biting action on my full HD 51" TV though.

Here are a couple of movies I have watched recently

Real Steel

Great watch, especially if your into action flicks and have a nice home theatre setup.

The storyline as it happens wasnt too bad either, quite enjoyed this. Would give it a 7 out of 10

Coming & Going

Quite enjoyed this even though it is classed as a "Rom Com" it was such a great laugh.

It even has our very own Rhys Darby in it.

Story line was quite random but I found it hilarious so i would give it a 7.5/8 out of 10 as it kept me entertained with humor the whole time.

I saw the Amazing Spiderman with the kids the other day. Not a bad movie, still feels weird having a series reboot from start about 5 minutes (subjectively) after the last one. Still, there's fun to be had playing 'spot the difference' if you have seen the last first Spiderman movie, and if you haven't, its a good light action movie.
7/10

Saw Prometheus a week before, I'm a big fan of Alien (studied it at Uni) and it was an interesting addition to the story. The movie was very good, it wraps you up and carries you along with its momentum. Its only after you get home and stop to think that some of the details start making a lot less sense... Would discuss, but not sure if spoilers are appeciated in this thread.
Still, a solid 8/10

Looking forward to Batman now.

Feel free to put up a new thread for that discussion including 'spoilers' in the title. It's a few weeks since I saw it, and had some very animated discussions exiting the theatre! Looking forward to seeing it again at home.

If anything it's the complete opposite.

saw Ted on Monday, it was very funny... mostly, but I love Family guy.

All said and done, I wouldn't go see it again at the movies, and would only buy in on DVD when it comes out on the $10 table at the Warehouse.

Too predictable and they tried too hard to have a story line.

Swearing, pot smoking alcoholic teddy bear doesn't need a story line!

I'm pretty sure Neil Swaab should sue - google up 'Rehabilitating Mr Wiggles' or 'Mr Wiggles Loves You'.

The show Wilfred has nailed that niche already anyway.

I Watched GI Joe Rise of the Cobra. It was cliche but enjoyable seeing all the different gadgets that they have thought up.

Friends with Kids... Interesting situations, nothing great - 6/10.

Case de mi Padre... Not the best Ferrel, but still managed to laugh at some of the scenes, the references to old spaghetti western and the absolutely badly made (on purpose) special effects. - 6.5/10.
