Would take me more than $35 in time and driving around to do that!

From my reading of it, that the item is a one use only item and snaps when an attempt to remove was made.

When time is more valuable, he’d rather just spend the money or buy a 3D printer depending how much of it will break in the future.;-)

That an item, created in bulk, that probably costs around .70c to make, is being charged at $35 + GST. That the part was so flimsy it broke in the first place.

If they're the ones I'm thinking of - square with a slatted grille that pops out, they're crappy design - more so than crappy materials.  Different brands use the same ones - probably because the different brands are the same product anyway.

On one end there are lugs that have to be slotted in, then you lower the other end and push it down until it clips in.  Once it's in, it's hard to tell which end is which, so high chance you'll break them if you use just a little bit too much force.

Yes that's the nub of it. You can't see where the lugs are so you apply some force where you think looks best and the thing snaps like a 35 dollar pack of spaghetti.

Edit. Needs some raised markings to show where to attack it.

Apple’s complete inability to design a swipe typing system that actually works. My iPhone does random things like odd capitalisation, random word changes (it just changed ‘today’ into Tiffany when I had already moved to the next sentence in the message!!) and random choices of words that no sane person would ever write are offered as alternatives.

Seriously, Apple. Up your game.

People's attempted blood-moon photos taken with a cell-phone posted to Facebook... pathetic.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I was reminded last night why I got frustrated with photography years ago.  Couldn't get a sharp image out of my gear so just ended up with a late night and a heap of soft images that I don't feel are worth posting anywhere public.

I went on the internet and worked out what settings to use, got my tripod and long lens ready, charged my battery...oh wait. No I didn't That was the one thing I forgot to do. I ended up looking with my eyeballs and taking a couple of pics with my potato.
