I have done that on occasion. Google is not Geekzone.

neb:networkn: They charge *you* 99c. That is not what they are being paid.Yeah, I know, I was just pointing out tongue-in-cheek that this is what you get when you go for the cheapest(-looking) option.
Yes in hindsight it should have seemed too good to be true, but there are genuine restaurants signed up to it so presumably they wouldn't want their name tarnished by poor service, and I didn't think it would be difficult to go into the restaurant once an order was allocated and ask for the one with the correct name. Won't use them again.

Also ((sadly) wrongly) known as a Heisenbug. The act of debugging changes the behaviour of the code. See also the observer effect.
Fortunately I was able to fix (well, work around) the issue by disabling CSE optimisation. I'm not sure whether to blame the code or the compiler...

Code. My first rule of development is to assume any issues I encounter are my fault.
SirHumphreyAppleby:Code. My first rule of development is to assume any issues I encounter are my fault.
Seems like a huge footgun. My first rule of development is "It was like that when I got here". Second rule of development is "I've never seen this code before in my life. Is it C++?". Third rule of development is "Oh, right. Well then I'm pretty sure that's Paul's code, but I'll have a look at it if you want". Fourth rule of development is ...
There are more of these than Ferengi Rules of Acquisition.
That the new 'improved' design of Sistema storage containers (the ones that have the blue clips on the lid rather than the body) are really difficult to open and require two hands and a hard pull to get the lid off.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Make that nearly impossible at times.

Fast Food...how hard is it to do it right?
Took the kids to Rotorua for a couple of days of mountain biking and my youngest asked if we could have KFC for dinner.
"No Problem" says I...it's a treat.
We order standard things off the menu, while asking for simple changes, such as No Mayo, and can I please have Zinger, instead of normal chicken?
I watched them throw 4 burgers in the bin, because they got my part of the order wrong 4 times.
Not only was it infuriating to see them throw away 4 perfectly good burgers, that were effectively just a bun and a piece of chicken, but they had a genuine inability to get my order right - which was a standard menu item burger, without mayo (but not that particular burger that they kept making me).
In the end, I kind of got the burger I ordered, but my kids had finished eating and the one I got had no sauce on it, as well as no mayo, but I was over the whole experience so ate it anyway and left, vowing never to return.
By the time I'd eaten, it was fast food no longer.
