Developers who don't know where to use MB/s and Mb/s ... I'd love to be downloading at 25MB/s!

Jase2985:

because by you going up to the counter there is a % chance you will buy something else while you are there, Popcorn, Drink etc. especially if you have kids.

All the cinemas around here the box office is in the totally different spot to the candy bar. You have to go through the candy bar regardless, so I'm not sure this holds true.

MadEngineer: Re aramex, I believe they’re cheaper for the multi-sector distances especially over a certain size/weight. We often use them along side the others depending on the timing of the pickup and expected delivery time etc.

So I assume you'd use them for anything that you're not that bothered about timing for?

Every time I have had to deal with Aramex, they've been awful - delays, lost items, mis-deliveries etc. And they seem to hire the surliest of drivers...which would lead me to believe they're not great to work for.

Nope, like I said, sometimes their pickup/delivery is better timed for something we need shipped so we'd use them in those cases.  Honestly, here in Palmy we don't have courier problems much at all.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

That it costs more to buy a game digitally than via a bricks and mortar retailer who has to ship me a physical disk. How!? Why!?

It's almost as bad as it costing $0 in fees to park using coins which they need to come and physically collect, but .50c for a credit card fee!

New PS5 game, Deathloop, released a couple of days ago. It's $120 to download from Sony - $95 for physical disc at JB HiFi (plus $1.50 for delivery if required)

Ridiculous.

And it'll probably download a patch the size of the game when you install :-)

Click-through tracking on websites where you get redirected to a new site, with the tracking page presented to you - still requiring you to enter the tracking number! I just left the page with that info on it!! Now I have to go back, copy the tracking ID, click on the tracking link again, enter the details and then be presented with "Your delivery has been delayed".

That was the exact game that triggered my post.

Guess that's the result of the PSN store having a monopoly on digital games, whereas physical stores have others to compete with. Have gone with the disc version of the PS5 so not to be locked into PSN store pricing.

Windows again. I think I've commented before on apps dumping their icons on my desktop.

Freedom! Or so I thought. Zoom has a documented registry key called DisableCreatingDesktopShortcut which supposedly does what it says on the tin.

One day later, it's back on the desktop again.

That the drunken Student Party's have started again here in Christchurch!

Head banger heavy bass music.

Partying on the garage roof etc.

Totally ignore the Liquor Ban area we are in. (Which is never enforced anyway - probably why they do it!)

General anti-social behaviour. (Noise / Yelling / Rubbish / Vandalism etc)

Bring back part of Level3!

Agree re monopoly and same here re PS5 disc version - that decision was a no-brainier for me.

I don’t mind paying $95 for a new AAA game disc if I can sell it on TM for $60/70 a couple of months later, when I’ve finished it. I very seldom replay games and have no interest in collecting them. However you don’t have the resell option with a $120 downloaded copy.
