Getting multiple email "receipts" each month for $0.00 when redeeming the free Playstation games. I imagine that 99% of people just delete these!
i would have done it myself but after 30 years, i didnt have the tools to get it off, would have had to buy some and it also had to be attached back to the house and with no electric tools , hate to think how long that would take. again im happy lol
Common sense is not as common as you think.
hmm, yes those cheap outside brass taps that you think have a leaky washer but it turns out the actual brass becomes porous over time. The zinc dissolves out of them or some such thing.

When tradies say they'll turn up at x-o'clock, then don't, and don't even bother to call.
I reckon only 10% turn up on time, maybe 30% don't even turn up but usually they will call.
The power is with the tradies though, just thankful if you can get a plumber these days, even if they charge like wounded bulls.
My plumber was due here today at 11am. According to his office he's been "on his way" for 2 hours now. Still, I've already been waiting 2 weeks so whats a few more hours.
Whilst I agree that the plumber should call if he's delayed, plumbers in particular (but also other tradies) can be called to an emergency at any moment. And I've had 2 or 3 occasions when I was very grateful that the plumber interrupted his work schedule to come round and fix *my* problem ASAP.

The office are being stupid. It sounds like the plumbing company I used to work for (im a Plumber myself). They would always make bookings for times like 10am, 3pm ect. Which would be impossible to keep, as you never know exactly how long the previous job will take. Then add in Auckland's traffic making it difficult to accurately predict driving times. Or otherwise a job will finish early, and you will have a gap of an hour or so with nothing to do.
Then the office would phone me and complain that I hadn't kept to an appointment.
Me: You didn't tell me I had an appointment at 11am.
Office: We sent it through to the job management program on the tablet.
Me: It was in the van, as Im not going to be checking it every 5 min just to see if any new jobs have come in. And anyway the first job you sent me to is a no hot water job. And the hot water cylinder needs to be replaced. Which Im 1/2 way through. So if I leave now the customer won't even have any cold water, let alone hot water as all of the pipes are currently disconnected. And you could have used the GPS tracking you have installed in the van to see that Im still at that job.
Glad that I don't work there anymore.
Moral of the story - If you need an exact time or you will be taking time off work ect to get a tradie in. Request that they make your job the first job of the day. So delays on other jobs won't spill over to your job.

That's because of your water. Just imagine what it's doing to your guts.
