The person I saw driving on a main road at 100 today towing a wheelybin behind a Ute on its own plastic wheels.

Some people are so stupid.

Forgot to detach it at the end of the driveway. Not exactly stupid or malicious, just forgetful and oblivious.

How they didn't hear it, though...

I think being smug like that is the new "i don't even own a television" lameness.

Or now just commonsense to reduce your exposure surface.

I also have a large hosts file

I actively post scams to scamwatch, phishtank, google anti-phish, as well as forward scams to IRD, NZTA, etc etc

I have WOT installed and actively rate web sites on that.

I have a VM that I "follow links" on, and video the URLs as they jump from one forwarding site to the next so I can see who they are and report each URL.

So I am sure as hell not going yo jump on "click bait" headlines/URLs

its just common sense nowadays.

No tin foil hat? Watch out, without a tin foil hat the scammers will directly inject a scam into your ear balls.

I see that now you have to be a "Twat" I mean a Registered, logged in Twitty thing member now to see ANY tweets!

Used to go to a couple of ones to see what was new, saw all the "promoted" tweets (Ads), now they will lose a lot of viewers of those ads!

Used to just Browse to their "page".

Now everything just redirects to https://twitter.com/i/flow/login

....bright? idea by Musk's Dog - it IS the dog running it these days isn't it?

Imagine it coming off and flying into the path of an oncoming motorcycle…

I'm amazed it did not fall apart as you watched. Must be a good hitch and a great road surface out there.

That's why you use a site like ShadyURL (now defunct sadly) or an equivalent like secure.verylegit.link/3R~.QuJR_Do>LR;og122virus)javaexploit.js.docm to do your link shortening.

Edited to add: And that link also breaks Geekzone, you'll have to cut&paste the text manually.

Yeh, Now Elon's 'Walled Garden', makes linking to send people to the site clunky.
No doubt marketers have been adding the old newspaper gets viewed x-times the official readership.
So that gets clobbered.

Elon Musk continues to limit how the platform can be accessed.
https://mashable.com/article/twitter-force-visitors-login-view-tweets-profiles

""
In addition, there are good reasons for visitors to scrape Twitter as well. Researchers have shared(opens in a new tab) how this new Twitter limitation will hinder their work in areas around open-source intelligence (OSINT), hate speech, and disinformation studies. The whole forced login move is very antithetical to how Twitter is meant to function and the idea that it can be a "public square" for information.
""
Its Elon's to decide what he wants, so time will tell where it leads.
Reddit has gone a similar direction, though you can see the preview to go beyond its logon.

A Bing search for "time in new york" has given one answer in big text and a completely different answer in the sidebar:
