This is the stupid "AI" that so many people are putting money into.

It's like cryptocurrencies and NFT scams, followed by "metaverse", but with more technology now.

These things are the stupidest things ever.

People will start relying on those fake facts spouted by "AI" and soon will we'll lose reality.

"Supported languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Kanji".

Kanji is not a language. It's one of the writing systems used for Japanese. But it gets better: when you choose Kanji, it does not switch to Japanese, but rather to Korean (Hangul).

It could have been worse, they could have just labelled it "Asian".

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/education/300921067/teachers-shocked-at-leaked-draft-of-science-curriculum--wheres-the-science

Teachers shocked at leaked draft of science curriculum - 'Where's the science?'

Science teachers are shocked that an advance version of the draft school science curriculum contains no mention of physics, chemistry or biology.

The so-called "fast draft" said science would be taught through four contexts – the Earth system, biodiversity, food, energy and water, and infectious diseases.

I enjoyed the signs during Covid which had "you must wear a mask" adjacent to "no face coverings or hoods up".

This level of panic is probably overreaction. Clearly all those things do contain physics, chemistry, and biology. It's unlikely to mean staff will be given new titles. It's more likely to mean existing teaching will be performed under those themes. Ie; curriculum level view not content level view. Content will not necessarily change.

Took the young one on a Weta tour. There was a woman in a mask coughing the entire 1.5 hours of the tour. Everyone trying to avoid her. Felt very angry since she’s flying out in two days and hardly needs to catch something.

You have to wonder at the woman, wasn’t she embarrassed in these covid days.

Maybe they mean “don’t eat or drink outside - bring it on in”. 😀

Friends had a similar experience coming back from Japan, there was a woman on the plane who was so sick with some sort of respiratory illness that she couldn't stay upright in her seat. Total insanity allowing her to board, both because she was probably highly infectious and because if her conditions worsens even more than it already was at any point during the12-odd-hour flight...

There's plenty of science there, only it's the children who are the experimental subjects. "What will happen to their grades if we try this, and this, and this? And what about this?".

Mind you that experiment has been going on for decades. And it probably doesn't really count as science if you constantly modify the assessment system (NCEA) to make it look like the experiment was a success.

When pegged against multiple international standards it's been a steady downward slope for the last 20 years or so, so it's not averageness, it's decline.

Not sure how to fit that into the acronym.

It used to be that if you walked into a bank with a mask on, you'd get shot.

Now if you walk into a bank without a mask on, you'll get shot!

Not if you've had your shots.
