eracode:msukiwi:After the 3rd time of being put on Hold on the same call I couldn't bare it anymore and hung up!
Were they aware you were naked?
Eva888: First time I’ve ordered online from PB Tech. Item arrived in original box with a courier ticket slapped on it. The entire picture of the item was visible, no wrapping to disguise the contents. Is this usual?
They also missed sending a smaller item.
THat's never been my experience with them - I'd say they must be under the pump and standards are slipping.

The last few weeks have been a stress test of various systems I think, with different ones collapsing at different levels. For example NZ Post: "NZ post just advised they can not take any local parcels to send to
Auckland until next week due to out of capacity at the moment". They're not even collecting parcels any more if the destination is Auckland.
Not receiving email verification from the MoH covid jab thing followed by a message that emails may take longer than usual - and that the code contained in them will expire after 5 minutes....now waiting 10 minutes for email...
Eva888: Email from PB Tech re my missing item, pasted below. I would agree standards are slipping.
*hi,

I can certainly think of some feedback!!
English/grammar class?
Not to defend that response but if you're not aware that'll be from someone who doesn't have English as a first language.

neb:Geektastic: The fact that in ASB World, payees are account specific.
This is a feature, not a bug. Without this it's way too easy to select payments to someone from the wrong account.
Either they listened to Geektastic or this is a very recent change, but they now lump all possible payees into a huge long scrolling list of payees that are, at best, irrelevant, at worst dangerous, for most accounts, e.g. paying the (house) builders out of a company account. So every time you want to make a payment, instead of getting the two or three payees relevant to the account, you get twenty or thirty irrelevant payees and have to scroll down to the one you want and carefully check that you haven't accidentally clicked on one of the mass of completely wrong payees surrounding it.
But wait, there's more! They've made it even dumberer! If you've got a single payee set up for multiple accounts, e.g. your accountant for different business accounts, then they all appear as multiple instances of "Accountant", and the only way to tell which one you should use is to select it and see which payment reference appears. If it's not for the account you want to pay from, you delete it and select the next "Accountant" to see if that's the right one. If it's not that, you delete it and select ...
As Raymond Chen would say, I bet somebody got a really nice bonus for that feature. Like the people at AT who have never caught a bus in their life but whose job it is to plan bus routes, I suspect the people who do the ASB's online banking interface actually bank with the BNZ.
Or at least if I was required to use that train wreck of an interface every day, I'd be going to the BNZ.

Given that they are operating in a country where English is a first language, wouldn’t it be good practice to ensure that reasonably decent English is used in pre-scripted customer communications?
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

As a functioning adult, I feel I can make the decision as to whether I want to use all the payees with all the accounts myself, without Nanny Bank interfering.
Central government recently announced a major law change around Resource Consents. The law will be relaxed to allow up to three, three-storey dwellings to be built on many pieces of land, with no need for Consent. A result of this will be a greatly increased number of cars parking on residential streets.
Yesterday Auckland Council announced a planned policy which, in some areas, will take away many residents’ right or ability to park on the street where they live. The intention is to force residents to walk, use public transport or cycle instead of using a car. The Council wants to be able to prohibit parking and install bus lanes and cycle lanes - all without being required to consult with Local Boards and affected residents prior to making changes.
Putting aside issues arising from just the Council plan alone, these are conflicting policies - has this world gone mad?

I was quite annoyed by this as well - they seem to have forgotten certain situations that require Aucklanders to have a car:
