afe66: Last Kingdom series 3 on Netflix.
9/10

Based on Bernard Cornwall books.
Essentially the opposite of Vikings, Saxon kidnapped as child by Vikings and raised by them. Returns as adult to try to reclaim his land, ends up with King Alfred, many battles and political maneuverings.

I see the most recent series of Vikings has just introduced King Alfred so interesting historic overlap.

I'm enjoying this more than Vikings. Vikings not the same since Ragnar died

The Alienist NF 8/10

Pretty good thriller set in 1896 New York. The alienist ie psychiatrist and friends hunt a serial child killer. Very atmospheric and some good strong characters with some good sub plots.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, has anyone watched all the different variations and does it change much in the telling. I enjoyed what i chose .

Watched Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

Didn't really like it, found it pretty boring and underwhelming. I really enjoyed the previous seasons, wish they just did that again this time.

Watched it on my iMac, that being the only device that I was able to interact with it on. Gave it 6/10 mainly for the novelty factor. Only did one set of senario's. Wont be viewing it again.

Season 2 Ep 1 of The Orville. I hope it improves and quickly. I loved last season.

I just watched Netflix's interactive movie "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch"

It's an interactive movie, so you have to use a browser (not the NetFlix app.)

It was annoying because if you make the wrong choice, you get "go back", which is equivalent to saying "Game over"

For example, the protagonist is talking to a therapist. She asks a question.

I answered "no." The therapist asks again "are you sure?" again I said "no." After a 5 minute video, apparently showing that "no" was the wrong answer. I get a screen saying"go back" and you're in the therapist office again, asking the same question.

You got one of the 10 to 12 different "game over" videos.

In other words, it was a more annoying version of the ancient Dragon Lair game. AT least if you made the wrong choice in Dragon Lair, you weren't inflicted with "dead end" videos for minutes on end.

So in short unless you're really just want to see the numerous Black Mirror easter eggs, give it a skip.

I'm enjoying Jimmy Carr's "The Fix" on NetFlix

"Problems so serious, they’re funny.

In each episode of Netflix'sThe Fix, host Jimmy Carr and team captains D.L. Hughley and Katherine Ryan are joined by guest comics to debate and discuss one of the biggest challenges facing the world in a team panel format... because who better to solve the world's problems in 30 minutes or less than comedians?

You’re welcome world!"

True this - it’s excellent.

@kingdragonfly so what happens if you watch it on a smart TV etc? Surely Netflix haven't made this so it only works in a browser?

This might help to answer that question: Interactive content on Netflix

Works fine on my LG webos TV, didn't work on my Apple TV.  Strange eh, must be licensing issues.  Works on PS4 too, so I assume Xbox will work.  You can watch on iOS but can't AirPlay to Apple TV, only the audio comes through.
