Behodar:

Today's lack of proofreading, courtesy of the Bay of Plenty Times:

"When you are talking millions of are putting that in the right mode in the right time," she said.

Later in the same article:

This trial is expected to cost $80 dollars, you want to make sure you million to start and $10m a year to keep running.

It looks like someone accidentally grabbed the "dollars, you want to make sure you" out of the first sentence and dropped it into the second.

If it was an accurate quotation, I sincerely hope that the person being quoted is not allowed anywhere near budgets of that size...wooden blocks in the corner would seem more appropriate, or perhaps crayons...

They'd probably eat them.

Wellington Crash

Apparently St John ambulance came 100+km out of their area to attend this rather than the much more local service from 5km up the road.

Come on Stuff (or maybe we call you The Herald since you're basically the same thing right?), they are two completely different services.

Bad reading. Should be in the Small Things that Annoy You.

But yes, the article should be Wellington Free Ambulance.

On another note, in-laws had the need of an ambulance while in Otaki sometime ago. Wellington Free Ambulance was there in three minutes. They decided to take him to the Palmerston North Hospital - so the ambulance took him all the way close to Levin and then transferred him to a St John Ambulance for the rest of the journey...

Fair, wasn't actually the headline.  :-)

Nice handover.  The two agencies play nicely with each other from what I can tell.  Probably did the transfer to enable the WFA bus to get back into their zone a bit sooner.

Came in here to post the same thing - image snip above.

Agent Orange could be the cheapest solution.

From the BBC, god bless 'em - 'Who Is Donald Trump's Daughter Tiffany ?' The daughter of Donald Trump presumably.

Ah - the good old Stuff trivia quiz - yesterday afternoon:

Pretty inexcusable IMO - and that's not being pedantic - about school year 8 general science level I expect.

Indeed. The screenshot is confusing; Fred clicked False (the tiny blue beam to the left indicates this) and the quiz said "Incorrect" and highlighted True as the "correct" answer.

The Herald has changed the Premium articles now so now you can't even read the preview for than a second, before it loads a "subscribe!" splash page over the top of it.
