MadEngineer: Lady outside KFC in a people mover van thing absolutely screaming her tits off at the kids in the back
She could have been just screaming her head off. Ease up on the misogynist hyperbole.
Over-sensitivity, being offend on behalf of others, and redefining words.

Inserting yourself into someone else's response, being offended on behalf of others, and generally just being a busybody.

Nothing mysogynistic there. It might be offensive (although not to me) but it is not mysogyny. There is no hatred or contempt for women expressed, merely a specifically female body reference. If it had been a man and he had written "screaming his balls off" nobody would suggest that was misandry at work.

Something must be in the water
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

End of the year burnout coupled with two years of exceptional circumstances.
So many people struggling mentally in so many new and interesting ways (as well as the old ways).

I should put it in the [Smiles] thread, but would be confusing since I'm quoting from this thread... I do love serial (or Oxford) commas.

No unexpected detections in wastewater today.
People hear what they see. - Doris Day
The expected 5G is still there though.

Not all commas are equal. In this case I was using them to establish a specific rhythm. If I had left out the last one, the emphasis would have been wrong off.

Not really. Perhaps I could have made my point differently, but I'm still going to call bullshit when I see/hear it - just as I'd expect anyone to call bullshit on me if that's what I'm selling.
Words like racist, sexist, misogynist, (and all the other "ists") are thrown around far too readily these days.

You are right. My use of the term was excessive. It just popped into my head as I was writing and I used it without thinking it through. It happens. I wasn't offended by the statement, by the way, but I did find it jarring. It just struck me as somewhat gratuitous.

Some years ago I was at a talk given by one of the creators of Cyanide and Happiness where he addressed the topic of them doing cartoons about normally taboo things like cancer. He mentioned that it was never the people with cancer who got upset but always the friends of said people who were upset on their behalf. They had at least some feedback from people with cancer/caner survivors who appreciated the fact that finally someone could laugh about it rather than treating it the standard I'm-so-sorry-you're-going-to-die way.
