Hi guys I know off topic but I am looking to buy a couple of bed packages for my new house and have visited Harvey Norman and PK furniture. PK is definitely cheaper than HN however quality is more important for me. has anyone got any experience of dealing with these two retailers for furniture? Any help / suggestions would be much appreciated.

When we went looking we passed on HN as their prices seemed out of touch with the rest of the market, although in general the quality of what they had was pretty good, much better than PK.

In the end we got some stuff from Furniture City, Danske Moblier, Target and farmers. Granted it wasn't a matched 'set', but we're happy with what we ended up with.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had a look at one or two and their stock levels were low and didn't have what I was looking for. I am in Auckland. Is there any you would recommend?

We have manufacturers that alter existing frames for us, what sort of frame are you after probably pm would be easier

Reading some comments here i think originally they were more looking for bedroom furniture which we do some off but tend to be totally New Zealand made my store and some of the Auckland stores do some imported product, but all our beds apart from Tempur are made in NZ

We had ours made to order at Wellington Beds. Cost around $5,000 for a king in 2007.

Best bed I have ever slept on. Next best would be the My Beds they recently put in Sofitel hotels!
