Why: Ethics, value or money?

A forum is not really a good place for one word answers.

One look at the guys track record sends me running, the word dodgy comes to mind and a lot worse.

KiwiNZ: One look at the guys track record sends me running, the word dodgy comes to mind and a lot worse.

He's not related to the company, having resigned last year or the year before and he does not even hold shares. You're right, his charges in the past have included inflating of shares, but with a starting point of 0.001 NZD, it's hardly a gamble.

I have read somewhere Mega is 384th most visited site online, can't find that reference today, sorry.

Although his Wife owns over 25% of mega via a trustee company... make of that what you wish..

By affiliation it's still his company. It doesn't really matter who may be a director or shareholder.

Was this inspired by the Government's State Assets sale?

I'd be more than a little concerned about the amount of law enforcement attention it's getting. Imagine if you had 100K in it, and then the FBI closed it. Gone is all your money, likely seized as proceeds from criminal activity, with lawsuits lasting 10 years or more.

I think I'd rather use my money to burn for warmth in winter, better return.

The discussions of this on dedicated share trading forums would definitely scare me away if I were considering it.  Never mind Kim Dotcom, the other names involved should terrify you even more.

Yep, don't touch it with a bazillion-light-year long barge pole. Today's New Zealand Herald has multiple articles on this rubbish ... must be a slow news day. :-\

I think the NZX needs to look at backdoor listings.

It isn't a done deal yet. It still needs to pass all FMA requirements. So NZX is looking at its backdoor listings.

It is interesting that it is valued at 200 million. Really wonder how that has been calculated.
