That's a pretty epic fail right there. I don't really get how that could be construed as a romantic proposal in any way.
Could think of better and a lot cheaper ways of doing it myself.

NB, Mine was done on a moon lit beach how could she say no :)

I don't understand the thought process of someone who proposes without the virtual certainty that your proposal will be accepted. Then again, I don't understand what led him to believe that his success would be assured with the bizarre iPhone statement. Quite possibly she *may* have accepted but this kind of weirdness probably set off some major alarm bells and her sense of self-preservation made her peace-out of that situation.

I'm not surprised she said no. Who would want to marry such a financially irresponsible person?

Some people have more money than sense. When I heard about this,  I was amazed to hear that their average wages were so high. It said that an average wage person in china would need two years to pay that off, but that would be similar in NZ, based on the cost of the phones and our wage.

Worst proposal ever. Well it's now proven that 100 apples cannot buy love.

99 goats - probably, 99 roses - possibly, 99 iPhones - you get to marry Tim Cook.

I wonder what his chances were of taking them all back and getting a refund, that or they were all counterfeit which is why she said no.
