I love having fun with these scammers when they call. Last night didn't beat my previous record of 14 minutes but fun anyway.

- call came in
- said I had to go upstairs to my microsoft computer
- said I had to switch to cordless phone
- left phone in cupboard with vacuum cleaner running

Last I heard when checking phone was the indian lady yelling "WHAT IS THAT NOISE, WHAT IS THAT NOISE, HELLO !!"

Anyone else have fun with these people ???

Occasionally I will let them know my phone won't reach and each instruction I leave them 7 minutes (it's the longest I have found they will wait before hanging up), other times I have played porn while they waited, a few times I have asked for a supervisor as last time they called I paid to fix it and that was only a couple of days ago etc and I am not happy to have to fix it again..

The list is endless.

I had a conversation going on about an hour before I told them I was on a Mac.

Remember, the longer you hold them on for it is one less person available to scam others

When they tell me I have an error...I start crying down the phone and play sound effects of various things breaking in my sound library.  Pots smashing glass, kicking doors in...etc...They have to spend 15 minutes with me "calming me down" before we actually get anywhere near a computer.

My girlfriend laughs her head off, because I get so in to the act, I actually start tearing up! :D

My last call I just made random noises instead of talking to them.  Lasted much longer than I thought it would before they hung up :)

Is there a particular list that I can subscribe to in order to get these calls more frequently?  I wouldn't mind making a viral video!

Move to Hamilton and ill transfer you my home number. Ive had 5 mabey 6 this year so far.

Funny because you would think the rape and murder threats would scare them off.

Be very careful. Those threats are legally actionable.

I had about 10 minutes last time of me telling him I thought my windows were fine, and when he kept insisting I opened a window me telling him I did not want to open the windows because it was cold outside.

He got frustrated and hung up.

Yeah, kinda fun.

Last time, I did my standard initial delay... "Hang on, there's someone at the door...".

When I came back to the phone 5 minutes later he was still there. So I rarked up the dog to bark, then started yelling at the phone that I was being attacked. Finally, I "shot" the dog, and told the guy it was my drug dealer wanting to collect. Then I "shot" the drug dealer as well. Finally, I passed out from blood loss. Down the phone I could still hear "Are all right, sir?" "Sir, what's happening?". laughing

Wow, didn't think they would as company\scammer is based overseas.

The NZ Police have no interest in crimes committed overseas. They are, however, interested in crimes committed in NZ against people who are overseas.

So, this is one of those bizarre situations where the scammer is essentially immune, and you are completely accountable for your actions (if it should come to their attention).

See the other response to this, but I can't imagine making threats to rape someone in the first instance.

Reading the other methods people have used sounds alot more fun anyway. Gotta get a soundboard running on the laptop.
