Hi.

I just became aware (courtesy of a 4 month free extended trial of google music) that PC has gone though and had his older albums remastered.

I just ordered all 7, which are double CD's on Amazon for about $15USD each.

The sound is noticeably better to my ears, and the CD Inserts have all been reshot with his current likeness in the same stances etc.

By buying from Amazon, I get the digital versions free of charge.

I expect my headphones will be getting a thrashing in the coming weeks!

Well, he had retired (Apparently with near complete hearing loss in 1 ear and other health issues), which given he is on my list of people I want to see live before I die, was very disappointing.

I guess we didn't know Both Sides of The Story.

I Cannot Believe It's True.

Do You Remember? when Phil Collins was on the radio all the time. I heard him so often he was Driving Me Crazy. I used to like him but he Droned on and on In The Air Tonight and every Saturday Night And Sunday Morning. I couldn't listen to him for One More Night now.

I Don't Care Anymore. I Don't Wanna Know about these remasters - It Doesn't Matter To Me. That's Just The Way It Is.

Before we had kids, I came to my agreement with my wife that if he came out of retirement and was going to tour, I'd to to the closest location he was available to see. I hear he might he might be performing in Paris, which is a place I've never gone but have always wanted to.

I made a comment about it and got instant sign off, which was awesome. Might be an early 40th!

Given the recent spate of muso deaths, my heart sank with each word as I read "Music - Phil Collins Fans...", and then thought it was pretty damn cruel to say "rejoice" under the circumstances.
