Good evening everyone,

I am trying to update my payment method to reflect my change in banks here in NZ, however the verification payments keep bouncing. Having spoken to my bank, I believe I am entering the correct information and it is driving me bonkers.

Assuming my account information is this (altered slightly to anonymize it):

Crucias
12-3147-ABCDEFG-02

Therefore I am entering the following into Adsense:

Name: Crucias
Bank and Branch: 123147
Account Number: ABCDEFG002

I have also tried without the extra 0, with the extra 0 being added before the A, and with different suffix accounts (cheque vs savings etc). Having spoken to ASB they have advised me to talk to Google, however being the cheap buggers that they are they do not have a phone service nor do I qualify for email support (I earn too little). I would appreciate any assistance you lot can provide.

Note: There is an existing topic from 2013 with the same issue, however I believe I have followed the steps and no actual solution was posted; so that people can review it, the link is below.

I was in that old thread. Sorry, can't confirm anything as I am with BNZ. My account is 02 0536 ABCDEFG 00 and I entered as 020536 ABCDEFG 000

I see that now BNZ has changed my account to actually have a three digit suffix - that wasn't the case years ago.

Didn't try adding the 0 on the end, will try that now - I lose nothing trying it while I wait for assistance :D

Cheers for your time either way though

Account numbers are zero padded at the front not the end.  Funds will most likely be misrouted.  (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand_bank_account_prefix#Format_of_account_numbers - too lazy to find it on the RBNZ site sorry, but I know that is the correct thing and the same advice given on direct debit/etc forms)   (i.e. 020 != 02,  020 == 20)

That's how I thought it worked. In my original post I explained how I left-padded the suffix and it did not work.

Cheers for the response though,
