hi,

really irritating but anyone know why our DSC alarm panel would be beeping everytime one of the sensors detects movement when the alarm is not armed?

its an older panel with no led screen, DSC PK5508 or similar, no warnings or errors on the panel and none when the *2 sequence is added.

thanks

Some have a doorbell type function, designed to let you know when someone enters or exits an area. On ours (a different brand) this is turned on by pressing and holding one of the numbers. Any chance something like this has been turned on? Googled for a manual?

Ours does this when someone has accidentally pressed the "Chime" button. I think all you have to do to turn it off is press it again.

Hope that works!
