So, was just wondering if anyone here has different branded washer and dryer stacked on top of eachother - I'm looking at heat pump dryers and would ideally like to stack it on top of the front load washer. Both are the same depth and width - but as I understand it you have to get the same brand to make a stacking kit work, because just sitting one on top of the other usually ends up with the top one on the floor eventually?

keen to hear about other peoples' experience on this.

the guys at HN told me the following items are designed for exactly this:

  1. appliancepro-laundry-stacking-mat
  2. unilux-appliance-mat-black

but i haven't used either.

I had seen mats on overseas web sites, with reviews that all say they do the job

I was hoping to get the same brand as my washer but nobody is stocking a heat pump model of it -yet- so may end up just waiting until after lockdown I guess

Can you just wall mount the dryer, a smidge above the washing machine?

Unfortunately you can't wall mount heat pump or condenser dryers - too heavy
