Anyone get hit by the gale-force winds in the upper north island today? Was looking at some weather stations out on the west coast of Auckland and they were reporting 90+ kmh gusts. Ugh, and tomorrow is supposed to be even worse.

Windy Ridge checking in. Night before last the power went out, and the gates to the under-floor of our house both blew open from the wind. I should set my weather station back up.

Wow, that musta been some really strong wind then... do you just need to push it back upgright, or retrieve it from a neighbours' property?

Ha! No, I packed away the inside part in November before the house was demolished to be rebuilt, and the outside part off the fence post a couple of months ago before the diggers came in to tear up the driveway before building our new deck.

Was watching various weather stations in exposed areas and saw > 110kmh winds on some of them. Mother Neb, who lives out on the coast, reported the garden is "shredded".
