Hi all.

I need some shopping bags like the ones at the supermarkets that cost around $1. I need quite a few so surely there is a wholesaler I could get some from for cheaper than that but I have searched the internet and can't find what I'm after.

Does someone know of a place I can get some? Where do the supermarkets get theirs?

Thanks, hope someone knows.

NZ safety blackwoods do many of the paper ones if that is what you're after. If its the plastic "reusable" ones then not them however.

We're on the Kapiti Coast so if we need packaging we go to AyrPak in Otaki (www.ayrpak.co.nz).  Check out their website to see if they have what you are after.  Guess there will be plenty of others in other parts of the country as well :-)

I think you would be surprised at the cost of them. I know foodstuffs imports then directly from China by the container load. They are sold at near cost in their supermarkets.

Thank you but I need the fabric ones. I sell concrete garden art at local markets and need a strong bag for the buyer to carry home.

I've looked but can't seem to find what I'm after. Do you have a link I can follow?

I havent been given a fabric bag at any shops since the silly ban came in, usually have to pay 20c for a paper one or $1 for a plastic "reusable" one. There were some fabric ones at new world for a lot more a while back but not really interested in that, and may just end up being a plastic one with a slightly more convincing weave pattern in it than the $1 ones.

You might be better off with a Pak N Save-style jute bag. 70c apiece with your own logo added: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Promotional-jute-tote-bag-with-custom_62220190174.html (minimum order of 100 pcs)

Plenty of choices, but you'll need to make a big order to access the better prices: https://www.alibaba.com/products/shopping_bag/CID380530.html
