the revelations today have scary implications (and sad ones) and it is not hard to come up with possible scenarios that will see people hurt emotionally and spiritually if not physically.
There's a poll running on the NZ Herald web site about whether you think it's a church or a cult. When I came home from work this afternoon it was 96% saying cult, 4% saying church after several thousand votes. It was like this in the morning as well
I've just checked the results again and now suddenly it's 52% cult and 48% church with almost 11,000 votes.
Maybe Brian panicked a bit and he issued a directive that every member was required to vote, and every friend and family member also had to vote, else they would have their hands chopped off.
well, the fact that i don't agree with everybody (some more so than others, some with more reasons than others), but that does not make anyone wronger than me.
yes, they do look bad on face value, in fact 'look bad' is an understatement! but i really don't think judging people is right, who knows!
not to say that one cannot have an opinion though ... the truth WILL eventually surface!
I'm not sure what scares me more; the deluded "spiritual father", or his 700 brainwashed "sons" who've exercised freedom of choice in swearing an oath of loyalty to him!
that every member must bow down to the king (tamaki) ... well i watched the 12 min closeup thing and that's what i got - sorry if i got it totally wrong... oops
I would have thought it was obvious how 48% think it's a church. They have to say good things about the church so they are all sitting in front of their computers voting on the issue like good little minions.
billgates: My personal opinion is that any religious place/institution is a cult.
like mac and pc, all blacks and ac milan, warcraft dota and call of destiny, geekzone and facebook, nzx and dow jones, acdc and mj, and ford and holden! quite right!
