Oh yeah, I will be there! Maybe even fly to OZ to catch another show...

I knew about this shortly after the release of Death Magnetic, bit of insider info, but nice to finally see it confirmed!

The other half is already saying she wants to go. I imagine it'll be in Auckland - I sense a road trip coming up...

Hope it's not somewhere like Vector Arena.
Or if it is they better do more than one concert otherwise there won't be many tickets.

You're going in an act of defiance?

Or are you DEFINITELY going? ;)

I believe I may have to drag my tired old ears along...

It is good to see a healthy number of people like Metallica!

Any guesses on how fast the concert will sell out??

Faster than they can play "One"

chiefie: CHRISTCHURCH CHRISTCHURCH CHRISTCHURCH!!!!

+100

When I saw them in Wellington in 1998 I talked to a lot of the crowd and there was a ridiculous amount of South Islanders there.

Fingers crossed it's not just the one token Auckland gig. I'm sick of that airport and I've flown up there too many times just for a show. Good gigs, but expensive gigs.

They're sloppy as hell on stage now (well, Lars seems to have just given up and Hetfield's voice is poked) but they still put on a corker of a show. Seeing them was the best gig EVER for me, period. And I've seen my fair share of metal gigs. Seeing them again would be in-frikkin-credible!

This is relevant to my interests.

I hope the tickets aren't as pricy as ACDC - well worth it but left a hole in the wallet.
