We've seen many articles and topics about Geeks, we know that "they treat them like Lords in Japan", we know "what computers and gadgets they have", etc

But what they should wear to be very "Geeky"? :)

Here is the topic to collect some good ideas.

Let's start with the shoes:

Adidas 1

Hmmm computer chip in a shoe, that's interesting!
This should be a "must" for all Geeks! :)

Hmmm. Ok, I still think white tee and jeans are the basic for anyone. Can't go wrong with that.

Also, I have an extensive Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt collection, from all over the world - I've been there, I have the the t-shirt. Sometimes more than one for some places. But always with jeans.

And not any special jeans - basic Levi's will do. Can't go wrong with that, I think.

Ah, I also have a selection of ties, a couple of suits and business shirts, because geeks do work have social lives.

Gotta have a pocket protector. oh, and don't forget trouser clips if you have a bicycle, which you should have cause only jocs and pops have cars.

Nah, I have a car, the Geek Mobile...

And after leaving the Corporate world (16 years in the same large company), it's great to be able to work in jeans and tee... Not that I didn't use this before, the company was quite good in accepting a non-formal dress code.

I've always wanted one of those caps with a propeller on top. Does anyone know where I might find one?

As for my workplace, our dress code is very liberal, and it's sometimes quite funny to see what some of our telephone-based sales guys get away with wearing! I personally always wear a business shirt and black trousers to work as I feel obliged to look reasonably professional, but I never bother with a tie or jacket.

C'mon people I thought it will be fun. I am not asking what you are wearing, but instead what do you think a Geek should wear?

Like an Adidas 1, because it has a microchip in it, then for sunglasses I think the Oakley Thump with a built in MP3 player, and also I read something about a jacket (maybe from Oakley too) which has a built in bluetooth (i dont remember why..) and so on..

The cap with a propeller is a very good one for example..

:-)

The Scott eVest looks good - lots of pockets.

I am not sure about the Motorola Oakley Bluetooth eyeware - it's too ugly!

What.. they actually use batteries? Should have got one of those little chargers that generates power based on your movement. I'm sure I've seen them around for other things.

Hrmm... I'm more for the polo shirt. Somewhat classy (phhht!).

True geeks can't afford real Levis! They buy the Warehouse special!

Those Adidas look cool, sure. But I'm still waiting for the Maxwell Smart shoephone.

What about us bogan geeks? I still have an old oversized black jersey with holes in the sleeves for my thumbs, maybe I could resurrect that?

I was always more of a fan of darker clothing myself aswell. Although recently I've tended to move more towards the greys. Never was much of a fan of white. Gets dirty too easy.

Well. It's always hard to say no to free stuff. Although there's a few that I only tend to wear when I'm at home.

What ya'll need to do is design that t-shirt I mentioned a while back with the GZ logo on the front and "No, I will not fix your computer" on the back. Then sell them and/or give them away as prizes.

I'd buy one.
