I am keen on going fishing this weekend with a couple of my mates. I do not know any good fishing spots in the Auckland area, the ones we went to were not that good and we caught little to no fish.

Any locations

or links?

Cheers,
Ieatservers.

You can take your rod and catch fish there, you may also go to jail for doing it Tongue out

the forums at fishing.net.nz are often quite active and might give you a clue as to where several others are heading:

Boat, Rocks or Surf ?

And what places have you tried - it may have been a bad time. Some spots fire at different times, tides, etc

Inner Auckland, or greater Auckland in general ?

There's a spot with a few minutes of a main beach where the Snapper are bigger compared to those caught where boaties travel miles out into the gulf.

It's to do with reefs and channels but we won't say where.
