Is it just me or is the TV3 on demand service god awful?

I currently live in Japan and I like to catch up on the news  from NZ most days. As TVNZ block all their content to viewers outside NZ the only choice I have left is TV3. Although they block most of their programming outside NZ - current events and news shows are available worldwide.

There are several issues I have with their service . . .
the first is clicking the link to view the latest full 6pm new bulletin usually takes you to a bulletin from several days previous. Up until a week or so ago there was no way at all to navigate to the latest bulletin - if indeed they had even posted it.
More and more recently they are not keeping these daily news bulletins up to date with several days at a time missing. Often the links to the latest bulletin direct me to dead pages.

The other issues I am having is getting the content to load.
I have a 200mb fiber connection. Although my connection speed to NZ is not as fast as I get a most other countries (for whatever reason) it is not slow enough to cause any content delivery problems. (running a speedtest to several NZ servers U usually get around a 40mb download average.)
When I click the player to load my selected show it hangs for a while then displays a message about there being a problem. If I follow the link it suggests it is probably because my connection is not fast enough. I know this is incorrect so I just persistently keep hitting the reload button every time I get the message and eventually the content loads.

My final gripe is their players fullscreen mode. It just does not display full screen - more like 2/3 screen.

see the screenshot.

I really hope it is not just me experiencing this crappy service.

I used to watch tv3 on demand weekly to watch sons of anarchy and 7 days, but lately I have noticed they have removed the 128K speed option.

I used that speed as I am on mobile broadband, so data usage is limited, plus I have trouble streaming 300K speed (it pauses frequently or worse, resets the video to the start during ad breaks).

Has anyone read about why 128K is gone?

Their entire site is dreadful. Links going to the wrong place, page loads timing out, videos jamming or not playing at all, and the list goes on.

It's pretty obvious that Mediaworks are strapped for cash.

I would say that this is becoming even more evident.
The most recent development is that they have removed the ability to select the bitrate you would like to view from the player and only seem to be streaming the low bitrate versions of their content.

Video quality is awful too and there's no option to change it either (I'm sure I could before).

I noticed that last night and I thought that it must be one of their frequent glitches - if it was a deliberate change then it makes the whole service pretty useless. I have also noticed the problem of long delays with page loads on the 3news web site getting worse lately.

I really wish the Apple TV could access mainstream New Zealand content. It's starting to look like I might have to get a TV aerial installed so that I can watch TV the old fashioned way.
