We are buying a house which doesn't have fibre, however according to the maps an adjoining property at the end of ours does have it - or at least is in the available area for it. The property we are buying is just under a hectare so it's not like a stones throw to the neighbors but also not a huge distance. Is there any way to get a connection? I've seen the community fibre request on Chorus but I'm wondering if there is an option for a single house.

@dazzanz Yes a single house can be connected if outside of the fibre network build you just have to pay for the build

Do you go through an ISP for it?

This has changed a little, at least with Chorus. For residential connections, you have to do it via the co-funded programme. Business connections can be single addresses.

Co-funded is direct with Chorus, single address (with a business plan as above) goes through an ISP.
