Is it possible to ask ISPs to change from interleaved ADSL2+ to Fast mode ADSL2+?

I've heard that fast mode may decrease the ping.

yes, but it depends what ISP and what plan you're on. Most will allows, this but a handfull won't.

You'll have to check their website and call them too. Sometimes the two dont match up on your first call and you'll get a 'huh whats that' response.

the 'huh whats that' is a very typical response and you guessed it right.

I did get the very same response, and they say they are going to call me back....

Slingshot and Orcon allow turning interleaving off.

Thanks for the info guys.
I just got a call back from my isp, they say it is possible.
Which means lower latency in games for me.

TelstraClear allows you to turn interleaving off too.

Vodafone/ihug do not support interleaving off at this stage.
