dan:
sidefx: Has anyone previously got onto 17a in the initial 10 day period?

yes after about 4 days, i had power issues with house, several resets to router, was on 17a super quick, however i had 0 forced line resyncs by DLM in that 10 day peroid, only from power issues

went from 40Mbits at start to low-mid 60s

Hmm Who knows maybe the same thing might happen to me, I might force a resync after 4 more days and see if i get 17a (doubt it tho) odd I don't even know why i had 2 forced resyncs by DLM as well (and one of them had a 54/10 sync.)

going from 40 to mid 60's sounds kinda like what might happen to me, I have a 39/10 line ATM.

On another note: how long does it take to get on 17a?

On-On another note: my CRC errors look higher then normal, 9 CRC errors in total in the past 24 hours. Normally I only get 4 CRC Errors.

Don't force a resync. If DLM has decided to make a change it'll happen in a fairly short time anyway but a resync could cause DLM to decide not to make a change. Also don't get hung up over the "10 day" thing - I haven't seen any evidence that DLM only makes rapid changes during that window. Just be patient.

No one (here) knows.

Well it's 'only' taken 5 weeks to get back to DLM1 since a port refresh. I almost just gave up, maybe if I wait another 5 weeks without touching the modem I'll see 17a? Dreams are free right

SamF: @insane: what's your current error rate?

oh it's all about the errors for sure, or lack thereof

Previous 1 day time = 24 hours 0 sec
type : down/up
FEC:     0     0
CRC:   54    0
ES:     45     59
SES:   0       0
UAS:   0       0
LOS:   0       0
LOF:    0       0

I haven't changed anything either, so perhaps the slightly better weather has dried out some connection or someone has fiddled in the cabinet again. Who knows but I approve :)

That's pretty sweet man. The highest attenuation figure we've seen for a line which was swapped to 17a is 7, but I have seen some suspiciously '17a testing' looking activity on my 8db line, so who knows!

Rejoice all ye graph nerds!!  Behold another graph!!  This one is based on the non-tweaked line stats from forum contributors:

Thanks to all who contributed their stats!  I was interested to note that all bar 1 of the lines had a <0.15 CRCPM rate & most were under 0.10, even the 15db line!

Looked like my Fritzbox crashed or something... Not sure what happened but it looked like it restarted this morning, Checked the Energy Monitor and it said it had been on for 3 minutes (I was using the net @ the time) Not sure what happened there?

Besides that nothing new...

^MM on Facebook seems to think that 17a doesn't exist anymore. This is news to me?

Who's ^MM?

We've had some people change to 17a recently I believe.

@michaelmurfy? Not that I have a chance in hell of getting on 17a, but still disappointing if true considering the number of people in this thread on it with no problems.

If you can't get 17a how do you get the "up to 70Mb/s" that Telecom is advertising?
