EDIT: If you feel like DIYing something in the mean time to test this, post pictures of the inside of your ETP, first jackpoint and where the alarm used to be wired up. Someone here might be able to help you to connect your incoming pair direct to ADSL modem as a test - to see what affect your wiring is having. If you're on Naked DSL.
Otherwise yeah, with chorus splitter installs for VDSL now cheap (or free from snap\etc) that's probably the best option.
jaxta67: Hi all. I'm new to posting to threads and am sorry for any confusion I may cause. I'm struggling to understand why sync speeds of my current adsl2+ connection do not closely reflect what I believe is a good line.
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]:1,016 / 15,677
What I don't really understand is my attenuation is very low from what I know this would indicate a very good sync rate of around 20mbps.
