Sorry, deleted my post. Silly me, I put in the same firmware... should've checked the filename not what was written on the website..
Anyway, found the fritz os 5.22 firmware, resynced and have gone from DLM-4 to DLM-2

a DLM move purely on a firmware move? a tad odd wouldnt you say?

sure you arent seeing this? *9 Note that on the Fritz, this may show as INP: 0 rather than 1.  This appears to be a bug in the firmware

And just like that I've gone from 41 -> 32mbit

VDSL can be lovely and infuriating at the same time

It was caused by a brown out, however no other devices switched off :|

I'm still on DLM1, I suspect that when I synced at 41mbit I was on a lower SNR. I might have to invest in a modem that can easily SNR tweak as 9mbit drop is pretty significant :/

Disappointed. I am either 55m from one cabinet, or 300m from the other.
Cat6 to demarc, straight into router.

Hmm, something's not right there mate! Attenuation is way too high and your spectrum is looking pretty bad! Might pay to talk with snap about that!

looks to me like heavy cross talk at the adsl levels.. the RFI aint pretty..

your attention is indeed WAY off.

current place is about 380M IIRC, it has 8db at vdsl frequency.. your getting 26.. thats bound to put you above the 10.8db mark even.. i suspect your going off a cabinet far more further away or have some sort of line issue there..

if telnet is open on your box, you could request the electrical distance, see what its looking at to get a bit of an idea..
