hio77:

bmine2nyt:

Hi,

I checked my address to chorus address checker.

Result:

NETWORK CAPABILITY

  • Broadband > 10 Mbps

NETWORK UPGRADE SCHEDULED

  • UFB fibre up to 200 Mbps by May-2016

its already may 31 2016 and the speed dial not yet updated.

Any info when will be the 200 mbps will be available in my address?

a General idea of location would help to answer that question.

Simply put, sometimes they are behind schedule, sometimes they are ahead. Seen work being done lately? gotten flyers lately?

It's quite funny you should say that hio77 (Seen work being done lately? gotten flyers lately?) Yes to both as the Chorus maps show my place in Tamatea in Napier to also be done by May 2016 as also confirmed by an Chorus worker so 3 quarters of the way through May I trundled off to Orcons site which now allows me to pick UFB as a choice in which connection I want from ADSL2, VDSL2 UFB after doing the address search but only from the front page, if I try from within my account settings it's a big fat nope not going to happen i see this as maybe a little over eagerness on behalf of Orcon but to let me choose it at all from anywhere if it's not ready to go is a wee bit misleading on their part

I know where they're redirecting their resource to, last year I was June 2018, then Nov 2016, now July 2016. :D

Still February 2017 here. I had a word with one of the neighbours on my shared driveway - they're hanging out for it to get here, too, so that's good news. No consent problems with them. Just have to get the other two on board.

Yup, it ain't working again. Requires a login. I wonder if they do this while doing database maintenance? Try again tomorrow and see if it's live.

Last time this happend they were doing an update.

The haven't loaded any of the new DSL cabinet upgrades for June - Nov in yet either.

Some of the UFB forecasting and availability needed an update too.

There were about 8 nodes in Onehunga due for June this year, all have been bumped until July next year for some reason.

No it's not. They did by the cabinet but not the places that are near the limit of VDSL because that is so logical.
